Potala Palace SL Petals Unfolding like a Lotus
Building Potala Palace in a Virtual World, formally known as Dalai Lama Tibet Projects Second Life in SecondLife.Com, started in November 2007 during a period of virtual imaging meditation by Venerable Bhikkhu Maitreya (known as Bhikkhu Kamachi in SecondLife.Com). At that time an image of the Potala appeared in mind, shortly after - smoke and flames around the Potala rose up. ( A Vision unfolding the future now ).
The realization of this vision is the seed planted in Second Life to build a virtual Potala Palace of Tibet and to make it a Gift of Love to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people for preserving this heart image of Tibet and Tibetan culture in everyday virtual life and real life. Potala is the Heart Pulse of Tibet, home of all the Dalai Lamas and one of the most important spiritual treasures for Humanity.
May all the Dalai Lamas Past, Present and Future, guide us each and all with Wisdom, Love, Compassion and Loving Kindness for all Tibetans, all Chinese people and all human beings.
Compassion and Loving Kindness is the Cause of Peace. Be Diligent, Be Clear, Be Simple, Be Direct - The Way to Peace is within us all, the light of Truth still shines there. Within this sphere of light, we are always Buddha and always Free.

Dedication to Zhou En-Lai, the People of China and Tibet
Zhou En-Lai the First Premier of China and the Chinese people. Zhou Enlai (1949-1976), became Premier of the PRC in 1949, with the establishment of the Communist regime. He remained in this position until his death. Zhou En-Lai is credited by China and most Chinese people with protecting the Potala Palace from being destroyed by Red Guards during the cultural revolution and many other cultural artifacts.

Potala Palace Virtual World Second Life 2007-08 - Initial 2008 projects:
1. Invite His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama into the SecondLife.Com virtual world in 2008 for an Inauguration ceremony of 'Building the Potala Palace in SecondLife.Com' and a talk on 'Mind in Virtual Life'.
2. Building the Tibetan Potala Palace as a Gift to H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama, the Tibetan People, and the future Tibetan Dalai Lamas for preserving Tibetan History in virtual space.
3. Help in Building up the Tibetan Community in the virtual world of SecondLife.Com and the Internet Community.
We need to acquire and maintain land 4 Sims (connected Islands of over 65,000 Sq meters each) for this project in SecondLife.Com, building, designing, objects, clothing, furnishings and other item. Your sponsorship, participation, contributions and supporting donations are needed.
